The tale of how

September 18th, 2007

Illustrated by Ree Treweek and directed by Jannes Hendrikz. Music by Markus Wormstorm.

Description: A wonderfully trippy scarry creation by The Blackheart Gang, featuring lots of tentacles and fantastically-looking creatures, masterfully woven together with an opera-like musical background. With the weirdness of a dream and the grace of a fairytale, this animation should prove an entertaining watch for children and adults alike.

Man & whale

September 18th, 2007

Created by Koji Yamamura for the Greenpeace Anti-whaling Campaign.

Description (Greenpeace) :

Today, only one country in the world continues to conduct whaling in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary: Japan.

There was a time in Japan during the food shortage hardships of the postwar period when whale meat was taken as a valuable source of protein. We are alive today thanks in a very real sense to this gift, so should we not reach out in gratitude to whales now and seek a path of peaceful coexistence? This is the message behind a beautiful new animated work by director Yamamura Koji.
